Group senior photos, senior bios needed for Graduation Section

- David Seeley PDN Editor

The Poteau Daily News’ annual Graduation Section(s) will publish May 28.

Due to the space constraints/page limits we are under these days, we are asking for a group photograph of the seniors and their biographies to be sent to me at editor@poteaudailynews.com. Those group photographs can either be of the “panel” or in a group setting.

We will need those by May 19 or 20, depending on if you are out of school on May 20.

There is still time to advertise in the special section(s) by getting with PDN advertising representatives Sierra Elmore (advertising@poteaudailynews.com) or Tabitha Wilcox (twilcox@poteaudailynews.com).

We will have some other promotions on the horizon, and I’ll keep you abreast on those.

The Poteau Kiwanis Club Little Olympics will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Costner Stadium.

This is where the local third- through sixth-graders get to have the spotlight shine on them for a couple of hours.

Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students.

We’re on the stretch drive for spring athletics with playoffs beginning this week on the baseball and slow-pitch softball fields. Within the next couple of weeks, the postseason parade for golf, soccer and track teams will begin.

On the professional side, the National Basketball Association playoffs started late last week, and the Stanley Cup playoffs are just around the corner.

If you’re a sport junkie, the “madness” did not end in March — it only just started in March.
