Softball RO second at Caney

Red Oak took second in the Caney Tournament, losing two of its last three games despite totaling 43 runs in those games.

Red Oak lost 17-9 to Caddo on Friday, succumbing to Caddo’s 12run third inning.

Graciee Noggle was 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple and three RBIs. Courtney Adams also homered.

Red Oak won 16-13 against Bennington on Saturday, outscoring its foe 6-1 in the last two innings.

Maycee Butcher homered twice and had fie RBIs. Kaylee Cannon had two hits, including a home run. Ashton Grogan homered.

Hayden White, Callea Stewart and Lexi Ober each went 3-for-4 with White and Stewart driving in two runs and White producing one.

That evening, Red Oak lost 18-16 to Stuart. Red Oak scored seven runs in the final inning, but it was not enough.

Butcher was 4-for-4 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Noggle was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Cannon was 3-for-4 with an RBI. LeFlore wins three

of five at Oilton

LeFlore (16-16) won three of its five games at the Oilton Tournament.

On Friday, LeFlore beat Yale 14-5.

Jenna Woodall went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Lori Cogburn and Alyssa Waits were both 2-for-3 and two RBIs.

Later, LeFlore Mounds 23-3.

Waits was 3-for-3 with a walk, a home run and three RBIs. Kaylen Hudlow was 4-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs. Harley Robinson was 3-for-3 with a walk and four RBIs.

Cogburn was 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.

On Saturday, LeFlore lost 9-1 to Hominy. Woodall and Kaylen Hudlow both had two hits.

Then, LeFlore beat Oilton 15-3. Hudlow was 3-for-3 with a two-run home run. Cogburn hit a two-run home run.

Woodall went 3-for-3. Jasmine Neal and Makinsie Pebley both had two hits and an RBI. Bryson Brown had a hit and three RBIs.

LeFlore lost 15-12 to Hominy.

BV outduels Heavener

Buffalo Valley won 1512 at home against Heavener on Friday.

Heavener led 11-5 by the top of the third inning.

BV scored three in the bottom of the third and five in the fourth for a 1311 edge.

For BV, Courtney Grey homered three times had had four RBIs. Cady Myers was 2-for-3 with a home run. Abi Wilson was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk. Khloe Haile was 2-for-4 with a tworun home run.

For Heavener, Cayleigh McGee was 3-for-5. Marianna Garcia was 3-for-5 with four RBIs. Ava Cartwright had a hit and two walks.

Howe drops three

at Dale Festival

Howe lost three games at the Dale Festival on Friday.

First, Howe lost 14-1 to Bixby. Abby Huie, Kaelbi Duvall and Gracie Lute each had two hits. Lute drove in a run.

Next, Howe lost 10-1 to Dale. Maddy Nobles had a hit and an RBI.

Howe lost 8-7 to Mustang. Duvall went 2-for-3 with a walk. Jazz Harrison had a hit, a walk and an RBI.

LeFlore downs

Cameron

LeFlore (12-10) won 12-2 against Cameron (913) on Friday, earning its third straight win while handing the Yellowjack­ets their ninth loss out of 10.

Cooper Newman pitched a four-inning three-hitter, allowing a walk and landing 31 of his 47 pitches (66 percent) for strikes.

Traven Sumpter hit a two-run home run. Westin Durant, Chase Lloyd, Luke Herrell and Rabbit Holly each had two hits. Holly and Durant drove in runs.

For Cameron, Braden Fitzer had a hit and a walk.

Spiro wins two at SC

Spiro won two games at the Sallisaw Central Shootout on Friday.

First, Spiro beat Roland 15-5, keyed by a nine-run third inning.

Corbin Miller hit a home run and had three runs batted in.

Gannon Shacklefor­d was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Hunter Sparks was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Jared Huff had a hit, a walk and two RBIs.

Later, Spiro beat the host Tigers 12-1. Huff was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Bryan

Hammontree homered and had three RBIs. Miller was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.

Lions edge Panthers

Howe scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Battiest 7-6 at home run on Friday.

Braden Blake hit the game-winning run-scoring single. Garrett Smith was 3-for-3 with a walk. Blake and Kobe Wooten both had two hits and two RBIs.

Wister falls to Silo

Wister (20-4) lost 6-1 to Silo on Friday.

Will Bryan went 2-for3 as the Wildcats totaled five hits. Landon Thornburg walked three times. Riley Crane had a hit and three walks. Landon Donaho threw five strikeouts in 2.1 relief innings.

Keota sweeps Bokoshe

Keota beat Bokoshe 7-6 at home on Friday.

After the Lions gained a 5-1 lead by the fourth inning, the Tigers had a fiverun fifth.

James Weece scored on a sacrifice fly and J.D. Dillard stole home in the bottom of the fifth to give the Lions the win.

For Bokoshe, Nate Crow had two RBIs. Rainey Self had a hit and an RBI. Tyler Sanderson threw seven strikeouts.

For Keota, Dillard was 2-for-2 with a walk. Beau McKenzie had two RBIs.

Afterwards, Keota beat Bokoshe 11-2.

Keota’s Ketcher Bustos had a hit, a walk and an RBI. He threw four strikeouts and allowed two hits and a walk in the three-inning game. Mason Edwards had a hit, a walk and two RBIs.

Crow and Austin Treat had Bokoshe’s hits.

Eagles hold off Buffs

Red Oak gained a 6-0 lead by the fourth inning before holding on for a 6-4 win Friday at McAlester.

Denver Hamilton homered and walked. Chase Pair had a hit, a walk and an RBI. Reed Kauk had a hit, two walks and two RBIs. Asher Kauk was 2-for-3 with a walk.

Brex Caldwell pitched five no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Arkoma falls twice

Arkoma lost two games at the Sasakwa Tournament on Saturday.

First, the Mustangs (715) lost 12-3 to Drumright. Whitt Oosahwe had a walk and an RBI. Easton Smith had six strikeouts in four relief innings.

Later, Jaxon Armstrong was 2-for-3 as Arkoma lost 10-2 to Alex.
