Poteau JH girls track goes unbeaten

Poteau’s junior-high girls track team finished the season undefeated after winning the Wagoner Invitational on Monday, its fifth meet victory. Poteau’s eighth-grade girls were second in the 4x100-meter relay in 55.7 seconds, second in the 4x200-meter relay in 1:57.55, second in the 4x400-meter relay in and second in the 4x800-meter relay in 11:42.79. Gracie Spradley won the 100-meter dash in 13.37 seconds. Ava Zink was third in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.52 while Jerra Sommers was fourth in 1:12.05. Spradley was eighth in the 200-meter dash in 28.64 seconds.Angelica Bullard was second in the mile run in 6:41. Emma Hackler was second in the high jump at 4-4. Camryn Armstrong was second in shotput at 26-10, and Kiera Cox was a foot behind in third. Poteau’s junior-high boys were sixth with Oscar Lucero third in the 800-meter run in 2:32 and third in the mile run in 5:56.
