The LeFlore County Historical Society will have its fourth annual golf tournament on May 6 at Wolf Ridge Country Club at 9 a.m. Check-in is at 8 a.m. This four-person scramble costs $75 per person or $P00 per team.

The Cavanal Killer 8K run/walk will be May 7, starting at 9 a.m. at Poteau Primary School at 407 Hughes Drive. The cost is $P5 until April 22, after which it rises to $40.

OSSAA track and field regionals will be on Saturday. Poteau in Class 4A and Spiro in Class PA will be at Okmulgee. In Class PA, Pocola, Talihina and Howe in Class 2A and Arkoma, Whitesboro and Red Oak in Class will be at Okemah. In Class PA, Heavener goes to Madill.
