Howe is hosting a girls basketball camp May 2325 that is open to female students of any school. The cost is $50 and includes a shirt.

The camp is open to girls entering fourth through ninth grade.

The camp will focus on individual skill developmen­t, teaching skills that will be used in practices every day.

The LeFlore County Historical Society will have its fourth annual golf tournament on Friday at Wolf Ridge Country Club at 9 a.m. Check-in is at 8 a.m.

This four-person scramble costs $75 per person or $300 per team.

The Cavanal Killer 8K run/walk will be Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. at Poteau Primary School at 407 Hughes Drive. The cost is $40.

The Poteau Kiwanis Club golf tournament will be May 27 at Wolf Ridge Country Club. Registrati­on is at 9 a.m. Tee time is at 10 a.m. Entry for this three-person scramble is $195. Hole sponsorshi­p costs $100.

There will be prizes for first and second place in each flight, closest to the pin and putting.
