County Commissioners table approving selling District 2 backhoe
The LeFlore County Commissioners tabled making a decision on accepting any bids to sell a 2011 4x4 Caterpillar backhoe benefitting District 2 during Monday morning’s meeting at the LeFlore County Court House.
The county received two bids — one for $28,000 from Extreme Work and Play and one for $10,555 from Robinson Construction, which is the firm that is doing work on the final phase of the Conser Road Project.
District 2 County Commissioner Cody Covey made the motion to table accepting either bid until more in depth examination can be done, which was unanimously approved.
The County Commissioners also approved LeFlore County Treasurer April Caughern’s report of officers for April, approved a resolution to determine maximum highway expenditures for May and approved Lisa J. McRay as the new receiving officer for the Oklahoma State University Extension Office to replace LaDonna Walls — who retired April 29.
The board also approved purchase orders, payroll, bonds, monthly fee reports, transfer of appropriations, blanket purchase orders and the two ongoing bridge construction projects — one a mile east of Shady Point over the Poteau River and the other on Brazil Creek Road south of Oklahoma State Highway 31 and west of Shady Point.
The LeFlore County Budget Board met just prior to the County Commissioners meeting.
The Budget Board approved a $2,516.81 reimbursement into the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department’s advocacy fuel fund as well as approved sales tax appropriations.
