Natlynn’s Voice Studio trio place at State Junior Music Festival

ADA — The 2022 Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs State Junior Music Festival took place April 30 at East Central University. Students attending the state festival from Natlynn’s Voice Studio were Jenna Scroggins, Psalm Yandell and Grant Thomas.

Scroggins received a winner’s plaque in vocal art song and a second-place silver medal in musical theatre.

Yandell received a secondplace silver medal in musical theatre and a third-place bronze medal in vocal art song.

It was the first time for Scroggins and Yandell to attend the state festival.

Thomas received a winner’s plaque in both his events — musical theatre and vocal art song. He has advanced to state festival multiple times prior to the pandemic.

Bill King traveled to Ada as the student’s collaborative pianist.

The last OFMC State Junior Music Festival took place in 2019 due to the event being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.
