Vikings win three of four before regional

Carl Albert State College’s baseball team won three of four games against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa to finish the regular season.

CASC won the first two games on Saturday at Tonkawa.

The Vikings earned a 5-4 win in Game 1.

Bryson Myers of Poteau allowed six hits and threw four strikeouts in five innings as the starter.

Matt Schilling, Dylan Debuty and Colton Sagely hit home runs.

CASC ran away in the ninth inning of Game 2 for a 26-9 win.

Debuty, Isaac Carroll of Wister and Cole Resetar homered as part of the 12-run ninth inning.

Matt Schilling and Conner Wyatt also homered.

Debuty finished 3-for-7 with six RBIs.

CASC started Sunday’s home doublehead­er with a 5-4 win. Clay Cross of Poteau went 3-for-4 with a home run. Schilling was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

CASC lost the finale 10-3. Jon Shaffer was 2-for-4.

CASC (22-34, 1418 Region 2) plays its NJCAA Division II Region 2 tournament in Enid on Thursday against Western Oklahoma State College at 1 p.m.
