CASC XC adds Elrod, Billingsley

Lane Elrod and Brady Billingsley of Battiest signed with Carl Albert State College for crosscountry on Tuesday.

Billingsley said that what he loves most about running is competing. Elrod said he likes racing other people and being faster than them.

Elrod and Billingsley helped Battiest place 10th in the Class 2A state meet in October.

Elrod placed 44th in 19:04. Billingsley was 77th in 19:54.

Elrod has run a p.r. in the 5K of 18:44. Billingsley has run it in 19:10.

Elrod and Billingsley both said they want to run in the NJCAA national championship meet.

Elrod and Billingsley will join CASC men’s cross-country signees Adam Gavina of Heavener, Caleb Berger of Shady Point, Davin Parsons of Rattan, Jonathan Figueroa of Kiefer, Rylan Cochran of Atoka and Brady Allen of Luther, along with returning runners Riley Egner of Collinsville and Fort Smith-Northside graduate Juan Mendieta.
