The Coffee Cup has been very busy

- Tammie Johnson

Happy Tuesday!

It has been such a busy time at the shop with out-of-town folks in visiting, graduations galore and catering for local schools. We also catered twice for the entire staff at the Rubin White Clinic. Halito! That was a lot of Milky Way mochas and mini scones, but we loved every minute of it!

Many of you have watched my kids grow up over the last 15 years that The Coffee Cup has been open. Living in a small town, customers are more like family. So, its with great pleasure that I introduce you to Melanie Wagner, Master of Arts of occupational therapy.

My daughter Melanie is a first generation graduate student from the University of Oklahoma, and I couldn’t be prouder. Melanie, beyond your excellent mind, your athletic talent, your dedication to learning, your emotional balance and very mature wisdom, you possess more. You have a compassionate and pure heart. You have taken all of your many experiences in life thus far, the tragedies and the triumphs alike, combined with your hard earned knowledge, talent and strength to do good for others.

Melanie will be a traveling occupational therapist with her husband Chester Duggan, who just graduated from the United States Marine Corps.

She also just got back from The Wheels Project, which was a two-week event in which she went with a group of occupational therapists, physical therapists and professors from the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa to Kenya doing wheelchair research and repairs with Bethany’s Kids, serving children with disabilities in Africa.

I do not know a more real, present young lady. You are the real deal, and I just love watching you thrive!

Have a great week, and see you at The Cup.
