Natlynn’s Voice Studio students give spring recital

The students of Natlynn’s Voice Studio performed in their spring recital May 10 at Poteau First United Methodist Church.

The students performed songs from musicals, arts songs and a duet.

The soloists and their song are as follows: Emma Claire Gillham, “Spoonful of Sugar”; Tyler Wallis, “To the Sky”; Justice Mitchell, “Consider Yourself”; Jenna Scroggins, “Tomorrow”; Psalm Yandell, “God Help the Outcasts”; Tiara Frazier, “Go Way from My Window”; Zane Harrison, “Santa Fe”; Grant Thomas, “My Petersburg”; Kylie David, “Someone Like You.”

Wallis and Mitchell performed a duet of “You’ve Got A Friend.”

The students received festival certificat­es following the performanc­es.

First festival cups were awarded to Scroggins in vocal musical theatre and Yandell in vocal musical theatre and vocal art song.

A combinatio­n second cup was awarded to Harrison. A special trophy was awarded to David from this studio for receiving 10 consecutiv­e superiors in vocal musical theatre at festival.

David, a senior, was recognized and received a gift at the conclusion of the recital. Bill King was the pianist for the recital.
