The Coffee Cup patrons have seen my kids grow up

- Tammie Johnson

Happy Tuesday!

Many of you have watched my kids grow up over the last 15 years that The Coffee Cup has been open. Living in a small town, customers are more like family, and so it is with great pleasure that I introduce you to Melanie Wagner, Master of Arts of occupational therapy (OT) from the University of Oklahoma! My daughter Melanie is a first-generation graduate student, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Melanie, beyond your excellent mind, your athletic talent, your dedication to learning, your emotional balance and very mature wisdom, you possess more. You have a compassionate and pure heart. You have taken all of your many experiences in life thus far, the tragedies and the triumphs alike, combined with your hard earned knowledge, talent and strength to do good for others. I do not know a more real, present young lady. You are the real deal, and I just love watching you thrive!

Melanie recently returned from Africa with a group of OT/PT (physical therapy) students and professors from OU-Tulsa for The Wheels Project. The group went to Kenya for two weeks doing wheelchair research and repairs with Bethany’s Kids and AT Catalyst.

While in Africa, Melanie went on a safari and also toured the Fairview Estate plantation, their processing facility, and had a coffee tasting at the end!

Melanie is a traveling occupational therapist, living with husband Chester Duggan — who just graduated from the United States Marine Corps.

Congratulations to both Melanie and Chester on their achievements!

Have a great week, and see you at The Cup.
