Hogs head to supers

FAYETTEVIL­LE, Ark. – For the second-straight year, No. 4 Arkansas will be hosting a Super Regional at Bogle Park.

The Razorbacks defeated No. 24 Oregon, 9-3, in the regional championsh­ip at Bogle Park Sunday afternoon to advance to the program’s third Super Regional. Arkansas will host No. 18 Texas.

With four home runs against the Ducks, Arkansas increased its home run count to 109, which is tied for the second-most in SEC history.

Linnie Malkin’s heroic three-run home run paved way to a six-run sixth to carry Arkansas to a 6-2 win over Oregon at Bogle Park Saturday afternoon.

Senior RHP Mary Haff tossed her 27th career shutout to become the program’s all-time shutout leader and lead Arkansas to a 11-0 (5), NCAA Tournament-opening win against Princeton Friday night. Game 1 between Arkansas and Texas is Thursday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.*
