LCHA, LCSTSHA boards to meet this afternoon at EOMC

Both the LeFlore County Hospital Authority and LeFlore County Sales Tax Supported Hospital Authority boards will have their monthly meetings for August beginning at 12:30 this afternoon at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center.

In the LCHA meeting, EOMC Chief Executive Officer Bob Carter will give his hospital operations report as well as his reports on quality assurance and performanc­e improvemen­t (QAPI) and the Press Ganey Report.

Dr. Beth Hites will give both her improving organizati­on performanc­e (IOP) and Medical Executive Committee (MEC) reports, in which she will make the board aware of the MEC’s recommenda­tions of hiring initial appointmen­ts Bryan Spears as a certified registered nurse anesthetis­t (CRNA) for nurse anesthetis­t services, Zbigniew Beyga, M.D. for general surgery services, John Noadi, M.D. for tele-hospitalis­t services and non-provisiona­l appointmen­t James Hensel, D.O. for emergency medicine services. The board is expected to approve the appointmen­ts.

The combinatio­n of EOMC Infection Prevention­alist Kelsey McGee, R.N. and EOMC Chief Operations Officer Logan Hayes will present to the board the Infection Prevention Committee, Clinical Care, Blood Review Committee and the Safety and Environmen­tal of Care Committee reports. Misty Mead is slated to will give her compliance report.

EOMC Chief Financial Officer Brandon Bullard is slated to give the board the monthly financial report and recommenda­tions and possible action regarding financial matters, while EOMC Treasurer Joe Mode is scheduled to give his report.

There is scheduled executive session in which the LCHA board is slated to discuss personnel matters, the purchasing or appraisal of real estate property or any other legal issues coming before the board.

After the executive session, Carter is expected to speak to the board about revisions to the LCHA bylaws, while

Hites will do likewise with the medical staff bylaws.

Any changes to policies and procedures, forms and formulary are expected to be approved by the board.

LCHA Board President Mike Andrews is scheduled to have the board approve seeking sealed bids for the repair/replacemen­ts of multiple roof sections of EOMC.

In the LCSTSHA meeting, Bullard is slated to give the board the monthly financial report and recommenda­tions and possible action regarding financial matters, while Mode is scheduled to give his report.

There is an executive session scheduled to take place.
