County Commissioners renew contract with Service Oklahoma for DMV
The LeFlore County Commissioners approved the annual one-year contract with Service Oklahoma for the leased space at the LeFlore County Court House Annex for the use of, but not limited to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for improving driver safety and testing driver license applicants during Monday morning’s meeting at the LeFlore County Court House.
In other business, the board approved a resolution declaring a 2007 Mack truck (whose original value was $81,990) and a 2008 Mack truck ($59,720) as surplus from the District 2 highway inventory, then approved accepting sealed bids to sell them.
The County Commissioners
approved the appointment of Sadie Doucette as the LeFlore County First Deputy Assessor and approved revising the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) to include the two new commissioners — District 1’s Vallard Campbell III and District 3’s Jamie Oliver.
The board also approved the reappointment of Larry Young to both the LeFlore County Equalization and Excise boards, a resolution to appoint Oliver to the LeFlore County Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (KEDDO) Board of Trustees effective Jan. 3 and a resolution to approve LeFlore County District Attorney Kevin Merritt and LeFlore County Assistant D.A. Sarah Jordan as requisitioning officers and Dusti McBeth and Gail Hudson as receiving officers to all D.A. accounts.
The Commissioners also approved purchase orders, payroll, bonds, monthly fee reports, transfer of appropriations, blanket purchase orders and the two ongoing bridge construction projects — one a mile east of Shady Point over the Poteau River and the other on Brazil Creek Road south of Oklahoma State Highway 31 and west of Shady Point.
