Bourne second, Owen third at Tri-State event

Wesley Bourne of Rock Island took a second-place finish in the Sunoco USRA Factory Stsocks event at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola on Saturday.

Bourne was second in the USRA Factory Stocks A Feature 1 race behind Dallas Bourland, who started in the No. 2 spot. Allen Owen of Pocola took third while Jim Philpot was fourth and Justin Johnson was fifth. Bourne finished a spot better than his No. 3 starting position. Owen was three spots higher than his No. 6 starting position.

At the top of the USRA Factiroy Stocks standings, Bourland leads Bourne by seven points, 642-635.

Brandon Hunter won the Medievel Chassis USRA Stock Cars A Feature 1 event, rising up from a No. 4 starting position. Heath Palmer was second while Roy Long was third, Andy Miliken was fourth and Neil Johnston

was fifth.

Hunter extended his lead atop the Medieval Chassis standings on Andy Morris to 32 points, 544-512.

In the USRA B-Mods A Feature 1 event, Kyle Slader won after starting in the lead position. Dalton Ragsdale earned the runner-up spot after starting eighth. Ty Evans was third while Devin Barker was fourth and Kyle Ledford was fifth.

With his second win, Slader is 10th with 338 points. Jacob Campbell leads with 528 points.

Trevor Hughes earned the win in the USRA Modifieds A Feature 1 race after starting in the No. 1 position. Jake Davis was second while Jared Russell was third, Long was fourth and Johnny Bone Jr. was fifth.

Hughes leads the USRA Modifieds standings with 573 points, 44 ahead of Davis.

The next Tri-State Speedway event will be Aug. 5.
