The Long Beach Shakespeare Co.’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ streams online

- By Hunter Lee hlee@scng.com

Experience the classic story of two star-crossed lovers from the comfort of your home.

A virtual Long Beach Shakespeare Company performance of the famed author’s popular love story, “Romeo and Juliet,” is available to stream online until March 28.

The show features a full stage performance with set designs by Nicole Braucher, and Natasha Renae Potts starring as Juliet and Conor Sheehan as Romeo.

“Verona has never been as vibrant and Juliet’s balcony has never been as romantic,” the theater company said in a Faecbook post. “That, along with Ramzi Jneid’s fresh costumes, make our latest production of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ our most visually stunning streaming production yet.”

The streamed performance is a recorded version of the stage show, not a live stream.

The cost to stream the show is $35 per household. After the link is sent to you, it can be viewed on smartphones, computers and some smart TVs; and it includes a Google link for a PDF of the program to print or view.

After paying, viewers will have until March 28 to watch the performance.
