Your Cat Pees Outside Her Box

Prevention (USA) - - FAMILY -

SOLUTION: First check with your veterinarian to see if your cat has a urinary tract infection or another medical issue, says Arden. If that’s not it, think about what else is going on. “Behavior changes may be due to household stress,” Arden says. Moving, new family members, or schedule changes can make your cat express that she’s unhappy. She also may not like the litter box itself. Make sure you clean it regularly; try moving it to a secluded location, changing the brand of litter, or getting a new box that is larger or has a different style. Cats can be picky about their toilet setup, so adjusting that can resolve the issue.
