• 1/2 yard tan can­ning jar print* • 1/2 yard blue stripe* • 5/ 8 yard blue but­ter­fly tonal* • 5/ 8 yard multi- daisy print* • 2/ 3 yard yel­low lace tonal* • 1 yard blue lace tonal* • 1 yard yel­low stripe* • 1 yard yel­low but­ter­fly tonal* • 11/ 8 yards yel­low leaf tonal* • Back­ing to size • Bat­ting to size • Thread • Ba­sic sewing tools and sup­plies *My Se­cret Gar­den fab­ric col­lec­tion by Ch­eryl Haynes for Be­nar­tex used to make sam­ple.

CUT­TING From tan can­ning jar print: • Cut 2 (61/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 12 (61/2") C squares. From blue stripe: • Cut 7 (2" by fab­ric width) K/L strips. From blue but­ter­fly tonal: • Cut 5 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 48 (31/2") A squares.

From multi-daisy print: • Cut 1 (61/2" by fab­ric width) strip.

Sub­cut strip into 6 (61/2") G squares. • Cut 1 (93/4" by fab­ric width) strip. Sub­cut strip into 3 (93/4") H squares and 2 (51/ 8") I squares. Cut each H square on both di­ag­o­nals to make 12 H tri­an­gles. Set aside 2 tri­an­gles for scraps. Cut each I square in half on 1 di­ag­o­nal to make 4 I tri­an­gles. From yel­low lace tonal: • Cut 4 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips.

Sub­cut strips into 34 (31/2") E squares. • Cut 1 (51/2" by fab­ric width) strip. Sub­cut strip into 7 (51/2") squares. Cut each square on both di­ag­o­nals to make 28 J tri­an­gles. From blue lace tonal: • Cut 16 (11/2" by fab­ric width) B strips. From yel­low stripe: • Cut 8 (31/2" by fab­ric width) strips. Sub­cut strips into 48 (31/2" x 61/2")

F rec­tan­gles. From yel­low but­ter­fly tonal: • Cut 7 (41/2" by fab­ric width) M/N strips. From yel­low leaf tonal: • Cut 8 (11/2" by fab­ric width) D strips. • Cut 8 (21/4" by fab­ric width) bind­ing strips.

COM­PLET­ING THE STRIPED FRAME BLOCKS

1. Sew a D strip be­tween two B strips with right sides to­gether along length to make a B-D-B strip set; press. Re­peat to make a to­tal of eight B-D-B strip sets. 3. To com­plete one Striped Frame block, select one C square and four each A squares and B-D-B units.
