Quilter's World

Editor's Letter

“I hope that I'll keep being creative until they throw dirt on me.” —Kris Kristofferson

Quilting is my creative outlet, and creativity is what keeps me going. There's always another quilt or table runner I think I must make, a new technique I want to try or an idea I have for a great quilted gift. I can't imagine my life without quilting!

For those of us who live in the colder climates, winter is the perfect time to tackle and learn something new. I spend most of my free time indoors and, of course, in my studio. In this issue we bring you quilts with good bones. The foundation of a good quilt is, many times, in the blocks used. We have so many great quilts with great blocks that I can't list them all, so you'll have to page through the patterns for yourself. We also have several awesome last-minute ideas for gifts and some really creative pieces just because. All in all, I think you will truly enjoy the wonderful projects our designers have whipped up. I know I have added several to my need-to-make list! There's nothing like a good block pattern to help you hone your skills, and this is the time to tackle a new and exciting project.

Enjoy! PS. Don't forget to check out Annie's Creative Studio today for great classes with some of the best designers.
