• 60 (5") squares assorted prints* • 33/4 yards off-white solid*
• 3/4 yard green print*
• 2/3 yard pink print*
• 33/4 yards backing fabric*
• 65" x 76" batting
• Thread
• Basic sewing tools and supplies

PROJECT NOTES
Read all instructions before beginning this project.
Stitch right sides together using a
1/4" seam allowance unless otherwise specified.
Materials and cutting lists assume 40" of usable fabric width for yardage.
Arrows indicate directions to press seams.
WOF – width of fabric
HST – half-square triangle
QST – quarter-square triangle
CUTTING
From assorted 5" squares cut:
• 40 (5") I squares
• 20 (41/2") J squares
From off-white solid cut:
• 20 (4" x 41/2") A rectangles
• 20 (4") D squares
• 40 (3" x 41/2") B rectangles
• 30 (21/2" x 91/2") E rectangles
• 160 (21/2") F squares
• 20 (2" x 41/2") C rectangles
• 14 (21/2" x WOF) K/L strips, stitch short ends to short ends then subcut into:
6 (21/2" x 641/2") K strips and
2 (21/2" x 571/2") L border strips
From green print cut:
• 20 (41/2") G squares
• 10 (11/2" x 91/2") H rectangles
From pink print cut:
• 8(2 1/2" x WOF) binding strips
COMPLETING THE BLOCKS
1. Referring to Sew & Flip Corners on page 22 sew an F square to one corner of an I square to make an F-I unit (Figure 1). Make 40. 2. In the same manner, sew one D square to an adjacent corner of one F-I unit. Make 10 left and 10 right units (Figure 2).
