Think Willy Wonka–style chocolate waterfalls and edible wallpaper are the stuff of childhood fantasy? Think again. Come early 2019, the Museum of Candy will bring the world’s largest collection of sweets to New York City. The 30,000-square-foot whimsical wonderland from the team behind the Sugar Factory restaurant chain will house 15 Instagram-ready rooms featuring real candy murals, the world’s largest gummy bear, and an exhibit about the history of the sugar industry. But it’s more than just social media bait—there’s plenty to eat, too. At the dessert marketplace, snack on toaster pastries and doughnuts from more than 20 sweets vendors and confectioners from around the world. Or have a full-service feast of gonzo milkshakes and 24-scoop sundaes at the Sugar Factory outpost inside the museum. Sugar high totally included!
