New Vegan Options Hit Costco’s Menu

One of North America’s largest wholesalers, Costco, is now offering a variety of vegan options in their food court!

Good- bye Polish hot dogs, hello açaí bowls and vegan “al pastor” salad! Yes, you read that right! Costco will be replacing their famous Polish hot dog with a much healthier vegan option.

So far, Costco has only added the new vegan items onto their menus in select stores.

The açaí bowl is just 330 calories, full of antioxidant- rich fruits, and can be purchased for $ 4.99. The “al pastor” salad, which is made from 100% plant- based soy protein, can be purchased for $ 4.99 as well.

When giant chain stores like Costco bring vegan options onto their menu, it’s easy to see how widespread vegan and plant- based diets are becoming!

Veganism is becoming more socially acceptable and people are beginning to see and learn more about veganism. It’s not a trend, it is a lifestyle. A cruelty- free, compassionate lifestyle that is here to stay.

The next time you need a good meal after a long day of shopping for your weekly supplies at Costco, stop by the food court to try out their new vegan items!
