Hospice golf tourney is June 13
In less than two weeks, golfers will have the opportunity to combine fun and support end-of-life care for local residents. Hospice of the Rapidan will host its 2011 Charity Golf Outing Monday, June 13 at Fauquier Springs Country Club in Warrenton. Nearly 100 golfers participated in last year’s event, which raised more than $ 15,000.
The tournament is open to all, and entries from individual golfers, teams, and corporate sponsors are welcome. Each entry includes greens fees, cart, a gift bag, lunch and on course beverages. A copy of the tournament brochure which includes an entry form is available on Hospice of the Rapidan’s Web site at hotr. org.
The tournament also includes raffle prizes and several contests. One highlight of this year’s tournament is a hole-in-one prize of a 2011 Harley-Davidson motorcycle sponsored by Waugh Enterprises of Orange County.
Registration begins at 8. A shotgun blast starts the competition at 9.
Current sponsors include Panera Bread, Better Impressions, Ben Gravett Enterprises, he FauquierTimes Democrat, Culpeper Times and the Rappahannock News.
