Employee charged in alleged credit card theft
After investigating an elderly Slate Mills woman’s complaint of a stolen credit card, Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Capt. J.C. Welch said Tuesday, Sarah Ann Rooker, 37, of Reva, was charged with credit card theft. Rooker turned herself in to the Sheriff’s Office last Friday ( June 24) and was released on an unsecured bond; she is due in District Court Tuesday (July 5). An undisclosed amount of money was charged on the credit card, Welch said. Rooker worked in the home of the victim, who was not identified.
