Fourth of July

Rappahannock News - - NEWS -

Abraham Lincoln said, “ Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

As we gather in our community for our celebration our independence, let us also celebrate not only our power, but also our capacity as a nation to grow in kindness and wisdom.

French novelist Albert Camus challenged us to remember that “Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better.” It is a reflection of our humanity that we make mistakes and have the opportunity, and the freedom, to grow from our mistakes. Have a wonderful Fourth of July.
