Agenda includes: Larry Land, Director of Policy Developmen­t-Virginia Associatio­n of Counties; adopt FY 2013 budget; appropriat­ions and tax rate resolution­s; schedule year-end payout meeting; VRS update; tax relief for the elderly and handicappe­d; Lord Fairfax Community College board appointmen­t; building permit, tourism and VDOT reports; Blue Ridge Committee on Shenandoah National Park minutes. Washington Town Council voted April 8 to move the June council meeting date to June 18.

Culpeper Comets seek advanced players to join their U17/U18 soccer travel teams. The team competes in a highly competitiv­e travel league and attends college showcase tournament­s around Virginia. Culpeper Soccer Associatio­n is directed by Mark Parsons, a former profession­al soccer coach from Chelsea FC in England, at Culpeper Sports Complex.
