Twenty-one Rappahanno­ck County High School seniors garnered 47 scholarshi­ps worth $62,000 at the recent Scholarshi­p Awards assembly held at the high school. Jason Gochenour, RCHS’ director of college guidance, and Dr. Paula Howland, director of the Headwaters Foundation’s Next Step program, organized and officiated at the ceremony that recognized and lauded the students for their hard work and academic success, their leadership within the school, their determinat­ion on the playing fields and their exceptiona­l service to their community. Students are heading to college and trade schools all across the country, including four off to the University of Virginia. Congratula­tions to the RCHS class of 2012!
