Lawrence Reed Dodson

Lawrence “Larry” Reed Dodson, 72, of Fairfax, VA passed away at INOVA Fairfax Hospital on Friday, May 25, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born in Sperryville, VA on August 16, 1939 to the late Lester and Kathleen Dodson. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his sister, Linda Peyton. Larry was the President and Owner of Dodson Homes, Inc., a Northern Virginia New Home Builder responsible for the construction of homes and communities in Fauquier, Fairfax, Loudoun, Culpeper and Louisa Counties.

Larry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Jean Dodson of Fairfax; daughter Tammy Dodson-Baldwin and husband Robert Baldwin of Warrenton; son Reed Dodson and wife Lynn of Clifton, VA; five grandchildren; Paul Moore, Leah Veeris, Krystal Whitehead, Lawrence Dodson, III and Rosanna Dodson; brother Donald Dodson and wife Linda of Haymarket; sister Dorothy Lee Baldwin of Chesapeake, VA , and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Thursday, May 31 at the Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA where a funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Sperryville Cemetery, Sperryville, VA. A reception will follow the burial and be announced at the funeral.
