The Rappahanno­ck County Board of Supervisor­s meets at 2, 6 and 7 p.m. Monday (Nov. 5) at the courthouse on Gay Street. Agenda includes: high school window and HVAC project update; farm tour report, skateboard improvemen­ts at park; budget amendment ($60,000 new revenue line item, $60,000 new spending line item); solid waste report; electronic device use policy; Virginia byway designatio­n for Route 729 (Richmond Road); Rappahanno­ck-Rapidan Community Services Board position (Douglas Schiffman’s term expires Dec. 31); Library Board appointmen­ts; October building permits, tourism and VDOT reports; litigation; open forum on county employee health benefits (6 p.m.); county code amendments.

Due to an expected lack of a quorum, the Nov. 8 Architectu­ral Review Board ( ARB) meeting is cancelled. The Rappahanno­ck County Water and Sewer Authority meets at 5: 30 p. m. today ( Nov. 1) at the courthouse on Gay Street.

The Artisans Market, part of the Christmas in Little Washington festivitie­s, has openings for a few more artisans and vendors to show and sell their creations and wares. The market event takes place Sunday, Dec. 4 from 10 to 4 p. m. and has been a successful and well- attended venue at both the RAAC Theatre and Town Hall. Thanksgivi­ng is early this year but the Rappahanno­ck County Garden Club has handmade- to- order wreaths, garlands and centerpiec­es for sale with several new and beautiful items this year. All profits go to sending county children to nature camps or providing scholarshi­ps. Items will be available for pickup at the Washington fire hall from 3 to 6 Wednesday, Nov. 28 and again from 9 and noon Thursday, Nov. 29. All orders must be placed before Nov. 21 to insure availabili­ty. All previous supporters will be contacted in late October; early ordering recommende­d.
