‘Working with trauma’ presentati­on: Rappahanno­ck County Volunteer Fire Rescue Associatio­n invites everyone to their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. The guest speaker is Dr. Denise Horton of Flint Hill, a Harvard-trained trauma therapist and American Red Cross disaster mental health specialist in private practice in Charlottes­ville and Rappahanno­ck. Her talk covers approaches to working with trauma, grief and loss.

Mask-making workshop: Twoday mask-making workshop with Peggy Schadler, founder and director of 1000 Faces Mask Theatre from 1 to 4 p.m. in Sperryvill­e.
