The Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority meets at 5:30 today (Thursday, Feb. 28) at the courthouse in Washington.
The Board of Supervisors meets at 2 p.m. Monday (March 4) at the Rappahannock County courthouse. There is no 7 p.m. meeting. Agenda includes: audit; EMS cost recovery program; recycling program; local stormwater program fees; update on RSW regional jail project; presentation on deer har-
vest trends in Rappahannock; Headwaters presentation; budget schedule and joint school board/supervisors work session.
The Rappahannock County School Board holds a public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday (March 5) in the high school auditorium. The board will hear public comments on the proposed 2013-14 school budget and will announce the process for the superintendent search.
Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board holds its regularly scheduled board meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at its office at 15361 Bradford Road, Culpeper.

Spring 2013 Rappahannock County Soccer Association (RCSA) registration is open. All registration is online at rappsoccer.com (U6 players are $40, U8 are $80). Register before
March 2; practices begin in late March.
RAAC’s Claudia Mitchell Arts Fund Grants Program is now open to receive applications through March 31. The fund was established to encourage artistic talent in the Rappahannock community by providing financial assistance to individuals and organizations devoted to the arts. Piedmont Softball Association is accepting registrations now for all area girls interested in its fastpitch programs for 2013. Girls born 19942007 are welcome, as well as any skill level from beginner through very experienced. Games are played at the home field on U.S. 211 in Amissville, as well as in surrounding counties. The registration fee is $50 for a girl playing on a team 12 and younger; $55 for a girl 13-18 years old ($5 discount for each additional player from the same household). This fee covers participation in spring, summer tournament and fall seasons. No girl will be refused because of inability to pay.
