Owner and head chef Emilio Fon­tan and man­ager Rosita Men­doza, right, serve up a ta­ble full of tapas to guests at­tend­ing a pre-open­ing re­cep­tion at El Qui­jote last Thurs­day (April 24) in Sper­ryville’s Rap­pa­han­nock Cen­tral com­plex. The tra­di­tional Span­ish-cui­sine restau­rant, ad­ja­cent to River District Arts, is now open 11 to 9 Thurs­day and Sun­day, 11 to 10 Fri­day-Satur­day. Reser­va­tions are not re­quired (but some of Fon­tan’s award-win­ning dishes re­quire ad­vance no­tice). Call 540-987- 8187.
