Jeanette Keyser Pullen, 85, of Flint Hill, Virginia, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Fauquier Hospital.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31, at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Guizar conducting the service. Burial followed at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home. She was born on March 3, 1929, the daughter of Robert and Addie Keyser of Washington, Virginia. She was a native of Rappahanno­ck County, lived most of her adult life in Flint Hill, and grew up as a child on Red Oak Mountain.

She was married and devoted to her husband Moffett S. Pullen of Flint Hill who preceded her in death by 24 years. She is survived by two sons, Robert S. Pullen, Sr. of Sterling, Va. and his wife Donna, and Ken Pullen of Flint Hill. She has three grandchild­ren, Robert S. Pullen, Jr. and his wife Christie of Front Royal, Cathy Furr of Front Royal, and Charles Sampson who preceded her in death of Front Royal. She has three great-grandchild­ren, Heather Furr, Ryan Pullen, and Amber Pullen, all of Front Royal. She has two brothers Daniel Keyser of Sperryvill­e and Donald Keyser and his wife Pam of Amissville, and two sisters, Virginia Cloud of Washington and Marie Rutherford (who preceded her in death) of Front Royal.

She worked for over thirty years at Aileen, Inc. in Flint Hill, most of that time as a Finishing Dept. Supervisor. She loved working with her many lifelong friends and coworkers at Aileen and has remained friends with many of them since the plant closed in the 1990´s. She was a Charter member of the Flint Hill Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church. She was very passionate about keeping her home spotless and clean, and loved to cook to prepare Sunday meals for her family prior to her illness.

Pallbearer­s will be Ashby Grimsley, Arthur Pullen, Jr., Danny Keyser, Jimmy Ralls, Robert Pullen, Jr., and Walter Grimsley.
