REBA HELEN RORER HAHN

Reba Helen Rorer Hahn, 98, of Lynchburg, VA. passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. Born in Lynchburg on May 20, 1916, the daughter of the late David Parker Rorer and Elizabeth Boyd Johnson Rorer.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Homeyer Hahn.

Mrs. Hahn was a member of Beulah Baptist Church on Leesville Road

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth (Betty) Hahn Councill and her husband, Charles (CW) of Lynchburg, three sons Thomas D. Hahn and wife Evelyn of Forest, Va, S. Dean Hahn and wife Bonnie of Huntly and P. Glenn Hahn and wife Debby of Charlottes­ville. Also surviving are 10 grandchild­ren, Andrea Falwell, Deidra Crawley, Lorraine Blough, Megan Hahn, Kyle Hahn, Alan Hahn, Brian Hahn, Ben Hahn, Holly Jolly and Sherri Moeckl. Mrs. Hahn was blessed with 16 great grandchild­ren and 5 great great grandchild­ren.

She is also survived by a brother, Benjamin P. Rorer and his wife, Phyllis, a sister, Nancy R. Mills Jennings and a dear friend, Carla Councill all of Lynchburg.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, David Parker Rorer, Jr., William Earl (Bill) Rorer, and James Douglas Rorer and two sisters, Elizabeth Rorer and Mary Rorer Worley.

A Celebratio­n of Helen´s Life was held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Beulah Baptist Church in Lynchburg with Dr. Dennis Hollandswo­rth officiatin­g. Interment was in Fort Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beulah Baptist Church, 528 Leesville Road, Lynchburg, VA. 24502 or to the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church, % B. Hahn, 48 Homestead Knoll Lane, Huntly, VA. 22640.
