Happy trails to . . . local artisans!
Artisans and supporters of the local art community gathered Tuesday evening (June 3) at Rappahannock Cellars to officially inaugurate the launch of the county’s leg of the Rappahannock County Artisan Trail. The initiative, which has also launched similar trails in nine other Virginia counties, is aimed at promoting local artists and craftspeople via its website, artisanscenterofvirginia.org, and a forthcoming printed brochure. Leading the effort in Rapp is Patricia Brennan, glass artist and a partner in Sperryville’s Coterie shop, left, in front of the assembled guests with Sherri Smith, executive director of the Artisans Center of Virginia.
