Animals can benefit from Give Local Piedmont

Rappahannock News - - EDITORIAL & OPINION -

Rappahannock residents will have the opportunity on May 3 to give a helping hand to denizens of the Piedmont area, thanks to Give Local Piedmont and the charities it supports. These include animal charities.

I personally will be donating to People for Pets Foundation because I've witnessed the admirable rescue work it is doing in Rappahannock County, with medical assistance from Rose Hill Veterinary Practice.

People for Pets Foundation is a small, grassroots, humane organization that depends solely on private donations. It places animals, primarily cats, into foster homes prior to adoption. Currently, it is working to find permanent homes for cats abandoned at the Amissville landfill.

Check out the PFPF website: peopleforpetsfund.org. The link to donate on May 3: GiveLocalPiedmont.org

Tax deductible donations in any amount are welcome. Many thanks go to People For Pets Foundation for all it does. CLAY FULGHUM Washington
