Your generosity makes Camp Fantastic possible
We want to thank everyone who played a part in this year’s “Raining Cats and Dogs” Rappahannock Night at Camp Fantastic. Once again, it was a huge success!
The committee — Sandra Jenkins, Marie Davis, Jan Makela, Jim Blubaugh (representing the Rappahannock Lions Club) — was invaluable in planning this event. Charlotte Turnmeyer offered face painting. Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office was there with a snow cone machine and kept the snow cones coming all evening. Music was provided by Blues Fuse (Ralph Fortune and Jay Powell).
The many restaurants, individuals and civic clubs who made donations included: Fodderstack Race Committee, Melting Pot, Muskrat Haven, Subway (downtown Front Royal), KFC (Front Royal), Rev. Maxine Crenshaw, Charles and Melissa Baldwin, the serving line and decorations crew (Mike Leake, Chucky Jenkins and Greg Williams of Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department), Doris and John Fowler, Olga Flick, Robert and Rose Shaffer, Ron Makela, Washington Baptist Church Sojourners for Christ, The Inn at Little Washington, Rappahannock Lions Club, Persimmon Springs Florist (Donna Brune), Carol Hackley, Dorothy Hackley, Amissville United Methodist Adult Sunday School Class, Amissville United Methodist Women, Washington Baptist Church, Rappahannock Mini Storage, Kathy Gangel, Ellen Mustoe, Carrol Beard, Roger Pierson, Gavin Jenkins and Lilyan Jenkins.
We sincerely appreciate all the donations and many volunteers, too numerous to mention, that make this event possible. We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in Camp Fantastic each year.
Volunteers and kids line up to make a memorable meal happen at last month's Rappahannock Night at Camp Fantastic.
