At rapp­news.com/poll this week, we asked what re­spon­dents thought the main goals of a broadband com­mit­tee ought to be — should the Rap­pa­han­nock County su­per­vi­sors de­cide to cre­ate one.

The most pop­u­lar goal by far, with 89 per­cent of the 37 votes cast: “De­ter­mine how much com­pre­hen­sive broadband would cost and how it might be fi­nanced, in­clud­ing re­search­ing avail­able grants.” In sec­ond place, with 73 per­cent, was: “Ex­plore the pos­si­bil­ity of col­lab­o­rat­ing with neigh­bor­ing coun­ties.”

De­ter­mine how many house­holds would sub­scribe to broadband ser­vice if were to be pro­vided 54%
