Bessie Ellen Norman

Bessie Ellen Norman, 83, of Woodville passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Brookside Rehab and Nursing Center in Warrenton.

She was born April 29, 1933 in Rappahannock County to the late Milton M. Hawkins and Lucille Brown Corbin.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth A. Norman of Washington, VA and Steven Norman and his wife, Teresa of Front Royal, VA; three grandchildren, Will Norman and his wife, Ashley of Warrenton, Wade Norman and his wife, Katie of Washington, and Wyatt Norman of Washington, VA; one great granddaughter, Riley Norman; one sister, Hazel Veltoven; and former daughter-inlaw, Fran Spearman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Norman; one brother, A.B. Hawkins; and two sisters, Katherine Bayne and Mildred Coughlin.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Lines and Rev. Paul Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held at the Amissville Fire Department immediately following the burial.

Pallbearers will be Will Norman, Wade Norman, Wyatt Norman, Tim Norman, Richard Burke, F.S. Lucas, Syd Tiffany and Fred Penturff.
