RAPPAHANNO­CK LEAGUE FOR ENVIRONMEN­TAL PROTECTION will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, May 18, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quièvremon­t Winery, 162 Gid Brown Hollow Rd. Wannabe members can join at the meeting. An informativ­e and fun evening. Keynote presentati­on: Garrey Curry, County Administra­tor, will address how the Comprehens­ive Plan fits into the ordinance, zoning, and enforcemen­t processes of the county. The next workday for the RAPPAHANNO­CK COUNTY PARK is Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon. Our fall and spring efforts are showing results. We have made space for many ferns and spring ephemerals. Come join us at the park (7 Park Lane, off 211 across from Washington exit) to continue the battle. Please bring your own heavyduty gloves, clippers and loppers.

RAPPAHANNO­CK COUNTY RECREATION­AL FACILITIES AUTHORITY board (RCRFA) meets every second Thursday of the month at the Library at 5:30 p.m. The next meeting will be June 13. The public is invited.

The Rappahanno­ck Extension Office invites all to attend a series of IN-ORCHARD MEETINGS scheduled for June and July. Meet at the host orchard at 11 a.m. for a tour of the orchard, followed by a discussion of current orchard management recommenda­tions.
