It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

-

Plans for Christmas in Little Washington are well underway — it not only takes a whole county, it takes a whole lot of time. This year the Christmas in Little Washington festivities will take place on Sunday, Dec, 8. The Artisan’s Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the parade will step off at 1:30 p.m. Get it on your calendars now. Even better, if you wish to participate in the Artisan’s Market or march in the parade contact information for both events is at the end of this article.

This year’s theme will be “Christmas at the Movies.” Hollywood alone has produced more than 100 Christmas themed movies, so all you movie buffs out there (or aspiring Jimmy Stewarts) get your creative juices flowing and come up with some wonderful float and costume ideas.

The event will, once again, benefit the Rappahannock Food Pantry. Other non-profit organizations from the county will also have tables. A number of county restaurants and stands will be offering more substantial fare.

Santa will be greeting children and receiving wishes immediately after the parade. He tells us that he has a special gift for each child.
