WCDS Wildlife Conservation Club grants scholarships
The Wakefield Country Day School Wildlife Conservation Club is pleased to announce its scholarship winners for 2019.
Congratulations go out to Gwynn Major, Martin O’Heir, Emma O’Neill and Isak Burak.
Each student received a cash award to pursue an individual project geared toward conservation.
The WCDS WCC is a student-led club that seeks to protect and conserve the natural resources of our country and to educate future generations to become caretakers of our water, air, land and wildlife.
The Conservation Club is currently involved in both a bluebird box implementation program and a wood duck nesting box project here in Rappahannock County. It will begin an on-campus pollinator project in the upcoming year. — Suzanne Zylonis
