Rappahannock News - - What’s Happening -

A Businesses of Rappahannock-Rappahannock News seminar on Tuesday surrounding successful advertising and marketing tips and tricks drew a crowd of three dozen to the Rappahannock County Library. Among other topics, BOR President Theresa Wood and Rappahannock Media Chief Operating Officer Bruce Potter discussed with small business owners where best to advertise in the print, broadcast and online markets, the importance of wellwritten copy and photography, and compiling media kits. Potter told BOR members that ads should be simple and to the point. A person’s attention span, the COO observed, has gone from 12 seconds to 8 seconds — shorter than the scrutiny of a goldfish.
