 FLINT HILL FARMER’S

MAR­KET: Flint Hill United Methodist Church is host­ing a Farmer's Mar­ket on Satur­days Aug. 31, Sept. 7, and Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church Pavil­ion. Prod­ucts that can be sold at each ta­ble in­clude food/pro­duce, crafts, and flea mar­ket items. No al­co­hol will be sold on the premises. We are ask­ing each ven­dor to make a small do­na­tion to Flint Hill United Methodist Church for the use of the space. There is no set amount for this do­na­tion. Jessie Col­well at [email protected]­pumc.org or 540-675-3370.  INSECT FRIENDS AND FOES: Join this fam­ily-friendly small group ex­pe­ri­ence through gar­dens, fields and forests to dis­cover James Madi­son’s Mont­pe­lier's buzzing bugs, winged won­ders, and creepy crawlers. Learn the dif­fer­ence be­tween in­sects and bugs, butterflie­s and moths, and those that are help­ful or harm­ful. The walk may in­volve some mod­er­ate hills and is suitable for el­e­men­tary age chil­dren and up. $10/per­son. 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Vis­i­tor Cen­ter.
