Cosmetic treatments on the rise after COVID shutdown

The spring/summer season of COVID shutdown and resulting travel restrictions caused us all to spend a lot more time at home. For many of us, this meant reassessing our interior living spaces, and the home improvement industry is now booming as a result. We also had a lot more time to look in the mirror and reassess how we feel about our appearance, and this emphasis has led to a similar increase in cosmetic therapies that help us look and feel our best. Dermatologist J.C. Caballero has noticed this firsthand at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center. “Just as home improvement is skyrocketing, so is self-care and self-improvement,” notes Dr. Caballero. “We are all a little more focused on self-care these days. And on top of that we are constantly seeing ourselves on Facetime and in Zoom meetings, so we want to do whatever we can to put our best face forward.”

We are all familiar with Home Depot and Lowe’s when it comes to home improvement, but most of us don’t know where to even start when it comes to sprucing up our appearance. “Most people don’t realize that the skin can be worked-out, trained and improved just as the body is in the gym,” explains Dr. Caballero. “But for

real results, it’s necessary to have the guidance of skincare professionals who can help you choose the best methods and products to accomplish your goals. You want to trust a board certified dermatologist and team of skin experts for this, like Warrenton Dermatology. If you’re not sure where to start, we offer free consultation appointments to discuss your concerns and to educate you on the treatments and products available to help.”

Dr. Caballero points out that, because almost all of us are wearing masks on a daily basis, we will experience much more difficulty with skin congestion, breakouts and general skin trauma. So, it has never been more important for us to know how to properly care for our skin, or to get a good deep pore cleansing and skin detox from a professional. Fortunately for consumers, this is also the perfect time of year for most non-surgical corrective therapies that require less sun exposure before and after treatment.

Getting laser treatments, like BBL, SkinTyte and Fraxel skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, micro-needling, and laser hair reduction in the fall and winter months allows the skin a safer opportunity for recovery and renewal. Dr. Caballero adds, “Our national cosmetic partners like Allergan, who provides Botox, Juvederm and Cool Sculpting products, are being extremely generous post-COVID shutdown to encourage consumers back into the marketplace by offering rebates and discounts, which we gladly honor. Being able to stack those savings on top of our in-office specials has created an unprecedented opportunity in the cosmetic arena. There has never been a better time to purchase, and either try these services for the first time, or reap the benefits of deeply discounted products and services you already know and love.”

Warrenton Dermatology is inviting people who have been thinking about cosmetic treatments to take advantage of the seasonal timing and a great savings opportunity of 20 percent off all products and services during their Fall Festival of Savings October 26, 27 and 28. Precautions are being taken during the event by making it call-in only to minimize exposure and limit in-office traffic. Purchasers will simply call the office at 540-341-1900 to make their purchases over the phone, then schedule service appointments and product pick-up at their convenience. Ongoing in-office sanitation and safety measures are being taken in accordance with CDC guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.
