Brenda Elizabeth Atkins Sacco

BrendaEliz­abeth Atkins Sacco, 63 of Luray, VA passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Fauquier Hospital. She was born September 30, 1958 in Warren County, VA to the late Lyle Wilson Atkins and Barbara Christina Atkins.

Brenda worked for Aileen Company in Flint Hill, VA for 17 years and then at Walmart for another 17 years. To know Brenda was to love her. She could make everyone laugh and smile.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Gore (Eddie), two brothers, Melvin Atkins (Juanita) and Calvin Atkins (Nancy). Additional survivors include her nieces and nephews, Keith Gore (Susanne), Heather Keyser (Doug), Tammy Shenk (Dennis), Ray Atkins (Courtney), Mandy Roberts (Will), Robin Benson, Angela Atkins, and Kelly Atkins Snider (Ed); a host of great nieces and nephews; and her very dear lifelong friend, Peggy Fahrney(husband, Tom and daughter, Tori.) In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brother, Shelby Atkins, and two sisters, Betty Jean Atkins Myers and Becky Atkins Tuel.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Sperryvill­e Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons can be made to the American Cancer Society at https://donate3.cancer.org/ or American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Pallbearer­s serving the family are Keith Gore, Doug Keyser, Blake Keyser, Ray Atkins, Nicholas Hitt, Andrew Hitt, Will Roberts, and Tom Fahrney. Honorary Pallbearer­s will be Calvin Atkins, Melvin Atkins, Eddie Gore, and Allen Tuel.
