CHARLIE MOSHER VANDALIA, MI
Charlie soldered the entire chassis for his replica Wrenchead monster truck from scratch out of 1/8-inch brass tubing. He salvaged the blown big-block Chevy V-8 out of a 1/12-scale model and added his own plug wires for extra realism. The radiator is actually a CPU fan out of a desktop computer that he wrapped in polished stainless steel. Charlie also crafted a scale dash with gauges and added a racing seat and driver figure. For axles, he looked to Tamiya’s Clod Buster, which also supplied the wheels and tires. The shocks are oil-filled, and feature limiting straps and custom shock mounts Charlie made out of aluminum. For power, he chose a pair of Trinity brushed motors controlled by a Tekin Titan. The body is Pro-line’s Chevy Silverado.
