Molded Chassis with Aluminum Nose & Tail Plates
The 22S’ new chassis features a composite center with aluminum nose and tail plates for the front and rear suspension modules. Plastic would have been fine, but the aluminum plates better resist wear from scraping, so that’s cool. Molded-in bracing and the reinforced battery tray add rigidity, and bosses allow the speed control to be screw-mounted instead secured with double-sided tape. The receiver is still mounted using tape, but it’s attached to a screw-mounted plate that makes removal easier.
