The actual driveline was going to be a bit more complicated. First and foremost, I needed to make sure that the power being generated was going to flow through an Axial transmission. With the help of GCM Racing’s front mount plate and transfer case, I was able to move the transmission to the front of the chassis. This kept the drivetrain accurate, low, and out of the way in preparation for the steam unit. With the mechanicals sorted, I needed to find a small but powerful steam engine.
